Airport Open House

OMAC will be participating in an Open House at the Okeechobee County Airport on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009. We have been asked and will be supplying a static display as well as two quick flying demonstrations and answering questions at the display from the general public. The event is scheduled for 10:00 till 2:00, so plan on being there before 9:00 and till about 3:00

The event will include a number of full size aircraft also on static display with their pilots present to answer questions. The County is also working on getting the Fire Service and FWC there with some of their aircraft.

As a club we need to support this event. Due to our late meeting and the short notice of the event, we need get a list of aircraft and pilots together ASAP.

This will be a fun event and very good for the promotion of aviation in Okeechobee. Please invite your family neighbors and friends.

Please contact Bob Bales or Joe Papasso if you are interested in displaying one or more aircraft and/or being a demonstration pilot.

Swap Meet

OMAC will be hosting a regional Swap Meet sometime in the first quater of 2010. Any and all help and ideas will be welcome. Please contact anyone on the Swap Meet Committee with ideas or to volunteer. The goal of the committee is to grow this event into an annual regional event as a future fund raiser for the club.

If you hear of someone who has a building and you think it might be worth looking into, give one of the committee members a call as well.

How about sponsers? Another way to add income to this event. If we keep the price low enough, I am sure that there are some business' that would be glad to advertise.
